At ELISAVA our class had the great opportunity to work with Nadia Hafid and Mucha Cuchara to create an illustrated and informative magazine – Caldo – about fermented foods and drinks. The issue touches upon various topics related to fermented goods, from history to health benefits and modern day usage. My illustration touches upon the history and culture of fermenting with a more personal touch, as in Hungary (where I come from) fermenting food is quite a traditional and widespread practice. The nice thing about this magazine, that it was printed with risography, so the two colours we agreed upon (red and blue) are quite vivid.
